The 4service NFC application provides users with the capability to configure and analyze Tridonic LED drivers equipped with an NFC interface at no cost.

Application

This application facilitates rapid and straightforward configuration and analysis of Tridonic LED drivers, thereby streamlining workflows for installation engineers, maintenance personnel, and professionals in related fields.

Functions

The app supports the following functions, contingent upon the capabilities of the respective Tridonic product:

• Set the driver parameters:
• • LED output current: Adjust the brightness by setting the LED current (in mA).
  • Device operating mode: Select from various modes such as DALI, corridorFUNCTION, chronoSTEP, among others.
  • DALI addressing: Assign the DALI short address.
  • corridorFUNCTION: Configure lighting levels, fade times, and related settings.
  • chronoSTEP: Set up profile configurations for chronoSTEP.
• EZ easy addressing decoder: Utilize an addressing tool to convert binary identification signals from bi-color LEDs into a DALI address within the range of 0 to 63.
• Easily transfer driver parameter settings: The copy function enables quick replication of a device’s configuration to identical units, optimizing time during replacement or initial commissioning.
• Transfer configurations from deviceGENERATOR: Import configuration files created with deviceGENERATOR (*.trgf) to compatible LED drivers via the app.
• Driver analysis: In case of a fault, read out data from the driver’s memory to facilitate preliminary on-site diagnostics.
• Product information: Access detailed product information by scanning NFC tags or QR codes affixed to Tridonic devices.

Prerequisites for usage include:

• An LED driver with an NFC interface from Tridonic.
• An NFC reader with Bluetooth connectivity from FEIG ELECTRONIC or Tertium Technologies; alternatively, the internal NFC reader on compatible smartphones.
• An active internet connection for initial setup and updates; ongoing local operation does not require constant connectivity but requires regular data updates to ensure functionality.
• If specific driver functions are protected by the luminaire manufacturer (such as password protection), these cannot be modified through the app.

The 4service NFC app itself is available free of charge; however, potential costs may arise from required internet access for updates and data transfer.
